Hi-Life Entertainment offers you an alternative DJ solution to the usual "mobile disco". We take bookings for weddings, corporate events, balls and club promotions. We can also book a range of live bands for you.
Consultation
First we consult with you in person to determine what type of music you would like, and the profile of your guests in terms of age and tastes. This is the consultation stage, where we will listen and give advice, where appropriate on planning the evening's musical path. We can play samples of music at the visit if you wish. Sound clips of different styles of music can be downloaded from the music link to the left.
We will make notes of your selections, including any specifically requested tracks, and take your budget into account to find the most appropriate DJ. For longer or larger events two DJs may be required, in which case we will use one specialist DJ and myself. This allows for a diverse range of musical styles to be covered, with a top DJ as headline.
Booking
After the consultation a booking deposit (usually £50 or 10% of the total fee)is payable and we give you a written contract covering dates, times and venue. This will include any PA equipment hire, additional lighting etc. If you want to use an in-house PA we would recommend that we inspect it prior to the event to ensure that it is up to the job. Good sound is more about clarity than volume. Many in-house systems at wedding venues are very good, but others leave much to be desired. A simple test of the system will ensure a comfortable atmosphere for your party.
Pre Event
Two weeks prior to the event we will contact you to pay the balance of the fees and to finalise the plans for the evening. This will include dress code for the DJs, set up times and your schedule for the evening.
On The Night
You can relax in the knowledge that everything is planned and considered. I will liase with you or your nominated representative to make sure everything is taken care of. This includes ensuring any requested music is played at appropriate times.
The DJ will judge the mood of your guests while keeping in mind the agreed schedule, to maximise the success of the evening. Requests will be accomodated where they fit in with the overall spirit and feel of the evening. Unlike many DJ companies we do not allow a "free for all" policy however. You are booking an experienced DJ for a reason. Experience has taught us that a favorite song of one of your guests may be a guranteed floor clearer for the rest.
