Equipment Details
Hi-Life Entertainment uses the latest sound and lighting equipment available and can cater for events for anything up to 1000 people, using our in house PA.
All equipment is PAT tested on an annual basis and we carry Public Liability insurance for events via our membership of the Musicians Union. We can send scans of certificates to venues on your behalf, should they require sight of them.
PA & lighting is provided directly by Hi-life, to ensure consistency of service to clients.
DJ Equipment
All DJs use Mac Book Pro as the basis of the DJ set up, running software such as Traktor Pro, Traktor Scratch, Serato or Ableton Live.
The DJ then uses outboard controllers, such as Pioneer CDJs (as pictured right), Technics 1200 series turntables or other USB controllers, combined with the traditional DJ mixer (usually Pioneer).
It therefore does not look like the DJ is answering his email whilst playing for you. This is a proper hands on experience, like the good old days of vinyl records, but with the advantage of a massive database of songs available.
PA Equipment
For parties up to about 150 people we use RCF 3 series powered monitors. These are European made speakers, made to the highest standards, in terms of sound quality and projection. For larger events we add RCF bass bins too and additional DJ monitoring.
Lighting
Lighting needs will be taken care of by considering the type of event and venue. We tend to use a combination of the latest LED units and laser effects to set the scene both on the dancefloor and around the venue as a whole.
Smoke machines can be added to augment the effect, should the venue allow their use.
